Which one do you prefer when you have a disagreement with your friends: speaking directly face to face and through phone calls or sending an email and a text message?
When I come across a problem, I usually prefer to use texting or emailing to solve the problem.
Firstly, online communication is more convenient than face-to-face talk. Since my friends and I often have entirely different schedules，it’s hard to find a time period to sit down and talk. Instead, texting and communication is instant. Even when the other person is offline, he can still see the message the moment he checks his phone. This saves lot of our precious time.
Secondly, when a conflict happens, say a misunderstanding, it is very likely that I will get emotional. In that situation, my mind is not clear enough and I perhaps cannot convey what I really want to say. In contrast, while writing an email, I can first take a break and list out the points I want to illustrate after calming down. This avoids further miscommunication.
