I agree that workers should be banned from using private emails during work time. Firstly, private emails, unlike working emails, are mostly used for unnecessary chatting. Many workers today spend so many time on chatting unrelated to work, which distracts them a lot during working and reduces their working efficiency and efficacy. This is the same principle as why parents often limit the online chatting time of their children. Secondly, although some people may defend that private emails should never be banned in case of emergency, say an accidental family issue or something. But that defense actually doesn’t stand. Because if there really is an emergency, people will not use email but will directly call for it’s the fastest way information can be conveyed.
