Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: it is disrespectful for tourists to take photos of strangers without their permission.
Well, some photographers at the scenic spots often take pictures for tourists without any permission. Personally, such behavior is very rude and disrespectful. First of all, portrait rights is important for all of us. We can often see news that some celebrities' portraits are often used on a company’s advertisements without consent, so they will ask the company for compensation legally, because their portraits could appeal a lot of fans to buy the product. Even though our portraits cannot be used as the propaganda posters, this kind of behavior is similarly a violation of our portrait rights. What’s more, some of the photographers even ask money for the picture they have taken. Ironically, why can’t I just take a selfie for free ? Therefore, it doesn’t show respect to take pictures for tourists without asking ahead.
Personally, I would agree that taking pictures of other strangers without asking permission in advance is a kind of nide behavior, because if s much like singling out a person on the street and taking their pictures without their consent. Either of these two actions is impolite and can easily make others feel uncomfortable.
For example, there are always some good-looking ones' sneaky photos spreading on the Internet. Although most of the photo takers' intention was to show others how exciting they are to meet some pretty or handsome people by accident, such behavior leads to all kinds of judgement from others on the Internet, including some mean ones. It is unfair for anyone to undertake that without knowing by themselves. That's why I think it is disrespectful.
