(1) Are water sports popular in China?
It depends. In the northern part of China, rivers and lakes are much harder to find compared to the south, and the cold weather also doesn’t allow people there to enjoy swimming at any time. Thus, traditionally they do little water sports. As for southern China, it is exactly the opposite. Hot weather there makes water sports quite an enjoyment.
(2) What water sports do you like doing?
I enjoy swimming most. Different from running or other field sports, swimming can help you to exercise all your muscles. According to studies, swimming is also good for our cardiovascular health and is a special recommendation to overweight people.Except for all these benefits, merely floating in the water is relaxing enough, helps me to be free from the burdens of daily work.
(3) Have you ever done any water sports?
I have been swimming once a week for several years. When I was in my senior high, Iheard that some universities count swimming as a required course and would not allow students to graduate until they can reach a certain speed. Thus, I decided to practice early and cultivated a habit of swimming. Now it is one of the sports I enjoy most and helps me to relax from daily burdens.
(4) What kind of water sports do you want to try?
I want to try surfing. Living in an inland city, I have never had a chance to try surfing, but it’s always appealing to me. I’ve seen people surfing on the movies a lot, and the feelings of fighting against intense waves excite me. Surfing also involves many kinds, some of which even require a plane to pull at the front. If I have a chance, I would love to try this fascinating sport.
